Fruit Bars

Ingredients

1-1/2  cups  brown sugar
1-3/4  cups  plus 2 Tbsp. hot water 
1/2 cup applesauce
3 cups raisins (or combination with cran/raisins)
3/4 tsp. allspice
2-1/2  tsp. cinnamon

Cook together for 3 minutes. Cool a little.


Add: 1 tsp. soda in 3 tsp. water
3 cups flour
1-1/2  tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Mix and spread in sprayed 9"x13" pan. Bake at 325 for 20-25 min. Can also be baked in small muffin pans.
