Icy Cold Slushes

Directions

You can adjust the ingredients of this recipe to your nutritional needs without changing taste. For instance, if you need more calcium, use an entire container of yogurt, or if you need more Vitamin C, use 2 oranges, etc. Also any time you'd like it sweeter and more dessert-like just add more of the frozen juice concentrate. If you need more than 2 cups (which is what recipe makes), just add more of whichever ingredient you have or like the best. I try to stick with the juices that contain the most vitamins.

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (can use plain if you're trying to keep calorie count lower)
1  peeled orange (remove any seeds)
1/4 cup orange juice frozen concentrate 
         (also good with pineapple or pineapple/orange/banana)
Crushed Ice

Blend the first 3 ingredients on high until smooth. Begin adding crushed ice until the mixture is as thick as you desire. (We like them really thick, so I stir to help it keep blending.) Eat with a spoon or drink with a straw.

crushed ice
Blend first 4 ingredients on high until smooth. Add crushed ice. (This one is my daughter, Holly's, favorite).
