Mission and Values

Our heritage and history of excellence.

Jane Phillips Health Corporation is sponsored by St. John Health System, which operates St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. This partnership helps our patients by ensuring access to the most sophisticated levels of care available in this area. This affiliation has strengthened the entire Jane Phillips Health System and has positioned us to serve people in our region well into the future.

Jane Phillips Medical Center traces its history back over 89 years. Washington County Memorial Hospital was opened in 1922 the product of a community effort to pay tribute to the local veterans of World War I. Jane Phillips Hospital was completed in 1952. Built by the Frank Phillips Foundation, the facility was named in the memory of Jane Gibson Phillips, wife of Frank Phillips, who founded Phillips Petroleum Company.

Jane Phillips Hospital was operated as a community facility until 1958 when it was deeded to the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.

In 1969, voters approved a referendum which allowed county commissioners to lease the equipment and the facilities of Memorial Hospital to Jane Phillips Episcopal Hospital, thus streamlining health care services in the Bartlesville area. The ten-story patient tower was completed on the main campus in 1982.

Jane Phillips Medical Center offers a wide range of services, including general medicine, surgery, cardiopulmonary care, maternal and infant care, cancer treatment, geriatric care, orthopedics, and physical medicine.
